All Is Well In Jerteh

"Yang penting adalah Khidmat dan bukannya Pangkat", he said.
That's the kind of mentality for servant of the people, a "Wakil Rakyat", should have. And it seems he has already started living and breathing what he has preached.
To other elected representatives, please "walk the talk", and don't just "wag the dog".
Glad to see that all is well in Kampung TokHas, Jerteh.
Bernama has this to report today:
Idris Remains As Terengganu Umno Liaison Chairman
JERTIH, April 4 (Bernama) -- Former Terengganu menteri besar Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh will remain chairman of the state Umno liaison committee, if his leadership is still needed by the party. He is also prepared to give up the post any time if directed by the party leadership to do so."As an Umno member, I'll abide by the party directive and if Pak Lah (Prime Minister and Umno President Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) wants me to relinquish the post, it is of no problem to me," Idris told reporters after a Maulidur Rasul celebration at Kampung Balik Bukit, near here last night. It was Idris' first statement to the press since the crisis on the appointment of the Terengganu Menteri Besar was resolved with Datuk Ahmad Said being appointed to the post on March 23.
Idris said he preferred to keep mum to prevent quarters from exploiting his statements which could aggravate the situation.Asked on his daily routine since no longer holding the post of menteri besar, Idris said he and his wife were more relaxed and that he was able to give more time to party work and meet his constituents in the Jerteh constituency.
"I work for the people. If the people are happy, so am I," he added. Idris thanked the people of Terengganu for supporting him and the Barisan Nasional (BN) that enabled the coalition to retain power in the state in the March 8 general election."I hope the people will not be disappointed with what has happened and also hope that they will continue to work hard for the state and the party so that the BN can continue to be in power in Terengganu," he added.-- BERNAMA
