He spoke of vision 2020... I thought the government has moved beyond that. Isn't it vision 2057 or 2157 or 2257 or something like that now?
The Prime Minister said while the Budget would be formulated with the aim to achieve the national mission of Vision 2020, it would also introduce new initiatives for a better distribution and sharing of the nation's wealth among Malaysians from all walks of life. Read more here.
He also said the next Budget to be tabled shall be "Bajet 2009 untuk semua kaum, wilayah, negeri".
Interesting that he brought all that up now. What does it mean? Prior budgets tabled were not meant for all? And is Che Det (or his vision) becoming relevant once more?

...it's okay if you don't want to read too much into what he said. Better if we all now plan on how to go about and claim our rebates this Saturday (those who renewed or paid their road tax between April 1 and May 31) than dwelling into what he said just now.
